The right filter for your system
Replace a 1 in filter every 1 to 3 months, a 2 in filter every 3 to 6 months, and a 4 or 5 in filter every 6 to 12 months, depending on use.
1 in and 2 in — EP pleated, MERV 8
Filtration LAB pleated filters: catch dust, pollen and pet hair. The standard choice for most furnaces and central heat pumps.
4 in — HP pleated
Thicker filters for 4-in filter cabinets: more surface area, so less frequent changes.
5 in — media filters
For 5-in media cabinets (16 × 25 or 20 × 20). Your size isn’t listed? Pick “Other size”: we can order custom filters.
