Why Steffes

What makes the difference

New generation in 2027

Available in 2027, the SEN10 and SEN20 add energy usage monitoring, an integrated clock, battery backup and an A2L leak dry contact for heat pumps using the new refrigerant.

Sinopé smart thermostat

The system is controlled with a Sinopé thermostat, designed in Québec: remote control and tracking in the Neviweb app.

The heat pump’s partner

Paired with a central heat pump (up to 5 tons), the heater takes over in deep cold with its stored heat.

Built for Hydro-Québec peaks

It charges off-peak and heats during peaks; eligible for Hydro-Québec’s electric thermal storage incentive.

FAQ

Questions about Steffes

When will the SEN10 and SEN20 be available?

The new SEN10 and SEN20 will be available in 2027. Until then, we install the Steffes Serenity 4210 (80 kWh, 272,960 BTU), which works on the same off-peak storage principle. Call us to plan your project.

What is the difference between the SEN10 and SEN20?

The SEN10 stores 80 kWh (273,040 BTU, 43 × 44 × 47 in) and the SEN20 150 kWh (511,950 BTU, 43 × 44 × 66 in) for larger homes. Maximum maintainable heat loss on Hydro-Québec’s 4-6-4-10 cycle ranges from 11.11 to 19.08 kW (SEN10) and from 22.46 to 28.62 kW (SEN20), depending on charging input.

Which thermostat does the heater use?

The SEN10 and SEN20 are controlled with a Sinopé smart thermostat, for remote control and energy tracking in the Neviweb app.

How does a thermal storage heater work?

It heats high-density ceramic bricks during off-peak hours, then a blower sends that heat through your ducts as needed, especially during peak periods.

Is there a grant for Steffes?

Steffes heaters are eligible for Hydro-Québec’s electric thermal storage incentive, on their own or with a heat pump. Confirm the current amount with Hydro-Québec before purchase.
