Cold climate

The EMC series heats down to −30 °C and keeps 100% capacity at −15 °C (Heat+ technology). EMC models from 12,000 to 33,000 BTU are on the LogisVert list at the cold-climate rate.

115 V model

The 12,000 BTU EBC runs on 115 V: handy when the electrical panel has no room left for a 240 V breaker.

Built for Québec

Heated drain pan against ice, built-in control of baseboard backup heat and compatibility with 24 V thermostats.

Solid warranty

Limited warranty of 1 year on parts and 5 years on the compressor, with a 10-year parts and compressor option.

What kind of brand is Elios?

A ductless wall heat pump brand backed by Le Groupe Master, a major Canadian distributor of heating and cooling equipment.

What is the difference between the EMC and the EBC?

The EMC is the cold-climate range (−30 °C, SEER2 up to 26, ENERGY STAR cold climate). The EBC is the essential range (−20 °C), more affordable, with a 115 V model.

Are Elios units eligible for grants?

Per Elios’s LogisVert list: EMC models from 12,000 to 33,000 BTU get the cold-climate rate ($120 per 1,000 BTU/h at −8 °C, $1,200 to $3,552). In the EBC range, the 24,000 BTU model gets the cold-climate rate ($2,064); the 18,000 and 30,000 BTU models get the standard ENERGY STAR rate ($585 and $1,000). Details are on each product card.

When the electrical panel is full or you want to heat and cool a single room without major electrical work. The 12,000 BTU EBC model connects to a 115 V circuit.
